    Nerello Mascalese 80%, Nerello Cappuccio 20%.

     

    From vines up to 100 years old and grown in black, brownish volcanic sand; volcanic rocks.

     

    Refinement 24 months in big oak barrels and 12 months in the bottle.

     

    Ruby red colour, with a rich bouquet where ripe red fruits and sweet spices dominate the scene, with leather, volcanic ash and mint hints. Velvety on the palate, with fine tannins and long persistence.

  • About the brand

    Palmento Costanzo was born inside the Natural Park of Mount Etna, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is located in Contrada Santo Spirito, inside the village of Passopisciaro, a small pearl set on the on the northern slope of Etna, part of Castiglione di Sicilia municipality. It is the passion for this land, for the indomitable volcano, that traces the company philosophy: to pay homage to the first winemakers who, for centuries, have given value to the territory, weaving the history of Etna viticulture. A heritage that deserves a bright future, that the company wishes to pursued with commitment and respect, highlighting the identity of Etna’s autochthonous grape varieties and terroir.
