About the brand
In the heart of roman hills, where winemaking and other age-old traditions have preserved their original flavours through the centuries, lie the origins of the Cantine Silvestri. The story starts in 1929 in the municipality of Genzano di Roma when its founder, Alfredo Silvestri, started making and bottling Castelli Romani wines.
This passion and experience was passed down from father to son and today Alfredo's son Dante with his wife Beatrice and grandson Alfredo run the Cantine Silvestri. The new and modern plant, in the municipality of Lanuvio, is located on the sunny hills of Castelli Romani, where the sea breeze mitigates the sultry summers. This is the secret of the flavoursome and full bodied blends.
