Barlan Nebbiolo Rosato DOC (Rose) 6 x 75cl

Creating a rosé using the ultimate Italian red variety as the base grape might seem a paradox, but the Nebbiolo grape appears to be well-suited to the task, with its high levels of acidity and concentration of aromas. The nobility of the Nebbiolo grape is only partly masked by the fresh palate and the golden pink colour.

Torraccia of Piantavigna started in the early 1850’s from a small vineyard planted by Peter Piantavigna. They are situated in Ghemme, in Upper Piedmont, at the foot of Monte Rosa, one of the most emblematic Italian mountains.

 

Today they have an area of 38 hectares planted with native grapes of great tradition in the region such as Nebbiolo and Erbaluce. The company produces high quality wines, among which stand out in excellence, the Ghemme and the Gattinara DOCG.

 

Torraccia del Piantavigna wines have been the subject of numerous awards and prizes over the years. A blend of tradition and innovation, applied in the vineyards and in the cellar, results in wines of great calibre.
